VISAS

www.projectvisa.com

This is my go-to for information on any country I visit, vital travel tips to help you with the planning of your trip.  The aim of Projectvisa.com is to share visa and travel information for all people from all countries. It provides you with links to the country’s official Embassies and Consulates in your country of residence, hence avoiding any third parties when you do an internet search.

It provides you with enough information for you to make an informed decision on what to do with regards to obtaining a visa for the country you travel to. I would recommend reading the FAQ’s for any questions you may have and even give the relevant embassy or consulate in your country of residence a call if you are unsure about anything.

The CIA World Factbook

I consider myself to be a very cautious traveller and like to do a lot of research on the country I travel to, whether it be a trip organised by a travel agent, a friend or one that I arrange myself.  Before there was Wikipedia and various other search engines, I use to, and still to this day, use the CIA World Factbook.  It provides vital travel tips and a vast array of information on the history, people and society, government, economy, communications, geography, energy, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 267 world entities.

The Reference tab includes: a variety of world, regional, country, ocean, and time zone maps; Flags of the World; and a Country Comparison function that ranks the country information and data in more than 75 Factbook fields.

This is my go to for any information I would like to find out about the country I will be visiting.  I find this an amazing resource for when I create my Photobooks (for which I will create a separate menu tab).  I tend to use the map & flag of the country and the general information as an introduction page.

The image below is an example of some of the information that you can obtain, click to see.

As my motto, in the header, says “From India to London to Dubai and Somewhere in Between“.

I was born in India and as a toddler emigrated with the Family to London, UK back in 1968.   And now, since 2014, living in Dubai, UAE.  “Somewhere in Between” are the places I/we have traveled to over the years.

We quit our jobs to go traveling.
