WELCOME ABOARD!
Here at herandtherewithmytravels, I’d like to share with you my amazing experiences and adventures and hope to provide you with some interesting information along the way, to tickle and awaken the Traveller inside you.
Don’t let Covid19 stop you from looking into what you can do and places you can go. Build that itinerary and have the most amazing trip when you are able to fully enjoy it. Now is the time to make these plans and save for that dream adventure.
Back in 2008, Scott & I took time out and went travelling for nearly seven months and we have not looked back since. We had the most amazing time and feel like we want to do it all over again. Whilst on the trip we were hearing news of the financial crisis and that this was going to be the big crash of 2008. We quickly realised that this could have implications on our plans. Nevertheless, we carried on and completed our trip and returned home to face the music, still with no regrets.
Over time I hope to develop my blog, hereandtherewithmytravels.com, with the following and more…

About Me
As my motto, in the header, says “From India to London to Dubai and Somewhere in Between“.
I was born in India and as a toddler emigrated with the Family to London, UK back in 1968. And now, since 2014, living in Dubai, UAE. “Somewhere in Between” are the places I/we have traveled to over the years.
We quit our jobs to go traveling.

2008: Fanny the Big Yellow Truck
www.oasisoverland.co.uk
This is Fanny, the Big Yellow Truck. We spent 90 days inside Fanny (we still giggle about it to this day), travelling overland through 11 countries in Africa, 2008. A converted truck catering for u to 30 people. All that we needed we had on board, all our camping equipment, kitchen equipment, pantry for the food, an Esky which served as a refrigerator, and plenty of storage for our belongings.
The adventures we had were absolutely awesome, I would so highly recommend this experience to anyone that wants to see more of Africa. To read more about our adventures go to Africa under Destinations and/or directly to the Blog from the Main Menu.
Let me just say your site is amazing! It is well put together and easy to navigate which is a plus. With such a nice layout you must attract a lot of visitors. I just wanted to give you a heads up because your site inspired me to build my own. I hope everything is going great and much success in your future. Thank and have the best of day!
Dear Esperanza, it’s so lovely of you. Apologies for the late reply but I have not been doing anything on the site for some time because it has broken and only today I have started looking into it. I’m struggling with it because I cannot seem to access the WordPress to actually start adding more to it. Appears that there is an issue on my computer, localised. Great to hear that you are starting a site too, do let me know what it is so that I may have a look at it. Good luck and hope it is a success for you too.
